“When it comes to nails I used to be very much a red or a dark gal but as of late I have ventured into other waters. Exicting, I know. Step forth Berry shades and nude shades.”
Essie nail polishes are a favourite with all nail polish lovers and I am no different. I bloody love the Essie nail polishes. The formula is exceptional, the colour range is beautiful and you will have great looking nails every day of the week. My collection of Essie polishes has grown slowly over the lasy few years and I won’t lie to you, when it comes to painting m nails I do gravitate towards them when I paint my nails. What is a gal to do!
When it comes to nails I used to be very much a red or a dark gal but as of late I have ventured into other waters. Exicting, I know. Step forth Berry shades and nude shades. Also no doubt, spending more money on nail polish now that the shade range has opened up… Sorry bank balance!

The Red: Laquered Up
You can’t beat a classic red nail polish.
It is chic, classic and looks super put together. What more could you want?! Laquered up is an eye-catching crimson shade that I always gravitate towards to. It is bright and ballsy while being chic.
The Dark: Luxedo
I love a dark polish. Almost as much as I love a red polish. There is something so chic and fashionable about a dark polish. Luxedo is a plum-black nail polish that looks entirely black in some lights. As much as I love a true black polish, Luxedo is a gorgeous alternative. It is glossy and subtle without the harshness of a black polish.
The Nude: Chinchilly
*Play A Whole New World*
Chin Chilly is definitly not a ‘true nude’ however it is definitly in the grey nude family. This polish has grey undertones that are really flattering on the hands. Sometimes with nude polishes I feel that your hands can look a little bit like shovels… sexy. I love wearing this polish when I don’t feel like having a massive pop of colour on the finger nails. It goes with everything and looks super chic and put together.
The Berry: Bahama Mama
This a warm toned berry shade that adds a different dimension to an outfit when worn on the nails. It looks great with an all black outfit because it adds a little pop of colour without being overly garish. Lovely. I’m not really one for saving certain polish shades for certain seasons, if I like a polish I will wear it whenever I fancy it. Bahama Mama is not an exception to the rule. This shade is great.
