20 Books on my Reading List

The pile of books that are to be read in my flat is ridiculously big. I have a problem with buying matte lipsticks, eye liners, nail polishes and books. Essentially I just have a shopping problem. Books will never be replaced in my life by a Kindle. I just can’t do it. There is something about a book that is so satisfying and charming. A great cover housing pages of wonderfully written words is one of lifes pleasures. There are some really fantastic reads out there and as my pile of books to read grows, my list of books to buy also grows. There are worse things I could be spending my cash on than a new book!

Originally this post was 12 books on my reading list, then it went to 15 and before long it had grown arms and legs reaching the nice round number of 20. Although these aren’t all the books on my reading list, it is a good chunk and selection.

donna tartt is simply incredible. her writing is the best i’ve ever ever read, i know you have a million books to read already(!) – but if you’ve not read ‘the secret history’ by her, i’d really recommend it. best book i’ve read this year!
