When it comes to my everyday make up, a lot of the products I use stay exactly the same. They just don’t change.
I do like to play about with eye liner or lipsticks but stick to the base products that I love and most importantly that I know work for my skin. Sometimes if I am feeling exotic I go for a different blush as well.
To start I put an oil free moisturiser onto a clean, dry face. I change up the moisturiser I use quite often but currently I am loving the Origins Zero Oil moisturiser. This cream is light enough to not cause my make up to cake but still give my skin the moisture and the oil control that I need through out the day. Ain’t nobody wants to look like an oil slick!
To even out my skin tone, cover blemishes and generally make me look a tad more alive. The foundation I have been using recently is Lloreal True Match in N1 Ivory. Before using this, I was a Healthy Mix lover then this little baby came along and I realised True Match was actually a lot better for my skin. Something about the scent in Bourjois products just irritated my skin. To conceal, I use Collection Lasting Perfection – naturally – and under the eye I use Lloreal True Match concealer pen which is nice but not my favourite for under my eyes.
For a bit of contouring, I am still using up a chocolate bronzer from Bourjois which works well enough to give me a bit of subtle definition to my face without it looking too much. I don’t want to completely change the way my face looks just add a touch of definition. To add a little bit of natural flush to my face, I pop on some of the Lloreal (can you tell I have become a Lloreal fan of late!) blusher in sandalwood pink. This blush is gorgeous, before using this I was a NARS Deep throat kind of girl but no wanting to use up all of it I opted for a cheaper alternative. Sandalwood Pink gives a nice natural glow to the face but it is very subtle.
Onto the eyes, for day time I either opted for a goldish shadow with some kohl liner smudged out or I keep it simple with a stroke of liquid liner. The liquid liner I go for is Rimmel Exaggerate liner purely because it is affordable, super long lasting and a very intense black. I then pop on some mascara normally either YSL Faux Cils or Revlon Grow Luscious but I don’t spend too much time on this because this is the one part of putting on make up that bores me beyond belief. Plus I normally wear enough eye liner that lashings of mascara aren’t really necessary.
Finally the lips!
When I am opting for liquid liner rather than kohl smudged out, I like to slick on a nice bright lipstick. Normally a matte lipstick because they are just the best finish really. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet are my favourites, the finish and lasting power totally blow me away – they are just so good! I have a few pink shades or I opted for a red if I am feeling adventurous.
