“A gal can never have to many of her favourite lipsticks.”

I will take any excuse to go out and purchase new beauty products, a new season being one of them. For Spring I have decided to really focus on my skin. Keeping it hydrated, with a fresh glow and blemish free. Taking 10 or 15 minutes in the morning and evening out to cleanse, moisturise, get my serum on or a face mask has become part of my routine, and a part that I am really enjoying. It is like a little bit of mindfullness time before the day begins or as I wind down from the day for bed. Plus it feels great to be able to look in the mirror and be happy with how your makeup free skin looks.

Aside from skincare, I have been enjoying using a tinted moisturiser over my foundation for a light, fresh glowy look without feeling caked up. My skin is also thanking me for this! Winner, winner chicken dinner. What is Spring without a red lip? In a feeling sorry for myself, cheer myself up moment I picked up two more of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks because they are just all kinds of fabulous. A gal can never have to many of her favourite lipsticks.

The Skin Products

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy sleeping mask : I first used this product when I got a sample at The Body Shop, Fort Kinnaird and instantly fell in love. It is a thick, bouncy textured product that you apply after serum before bed to your face and neck. When you wake up your skin feels incredibly soft, plump and full of moisture without the greasy residue that some heavy night creams can leave. I loved the sample so much I went back and purchased the full size and bought one for Mama RDP.

Drops of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel : Another treat from my afternoon at Fort Kinnaird was the Drops of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel. This product is a standout. What more could you want from your Spring Beauty Picks than something that is going to get rid of all the build up from the Winter months and leave you glowing? I apply this 2-3 times a week, post cleansing in the evening, and work it into my skin before rinsing it off with warm water and a face cloth. While you are working the product into your smoosh the product starts to gather the dulling build up in your skin which you can actually see coming out. Gross but extremly satisying.

The Base Product

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser : I have always been a foundation girl. Mostly because there hasn’t been a tinted moisturiser that has really worked for me and given me the desired look. Until now. The Laura Mercier tined moisturiser is a bit of a cult classic. It is expensive at £34 but it is totally worth the money. It leaves you with a healthy glow, evens out skin tone but doesn’t feel heavy and cakey on the skin. When this little tube of joy is finished, I will definitely be purchasing another.

The Lip Products

The Body Shop Born Lippy lip balm : A little bit of a throw back to include in my Spring Beauty Picks but I have been loving using my The Body Shop Lippy lip balm in Watermelon on days where I’m not wearing any lipstick. It smells great, it is super moisturising and it affordable. A great little steal and staple for the handbag.

Bourjois Rouge Edition velvet lipstick : I don’t think a Spring Beauty Picks post could be written without including the Bourjois Rouge Edition velvet lipstick line. They have brought out some new shades so naturally I had to go and try them out. I opted for two red shades; (18) It’s redding men! and (20) Poppy days.  It’s Redding Men! is a true, blue toned red and is gorgeous. A total classic lipstick shade that is really wearable and Poppy days is a bright, orange based red that is seriously eye catching.
