The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins : A review

One of my 15 books that I want to read in 2015, The Girl on the Train is an intense, gripping novel that will have you hooked from page one. This is Hawkins debut novel and boy is it good. It is no literary brilliance that will be looked back on as a classic let me just put that out there right now but it is wonderfully written, the plot is developed so well with more twists and unexpected turns than you could think up!

Narrated by 3 different women, you get the perspective of the events from different opinions which I really like about The Girl on the Train. It has more dimension to it and layers are added by the fact you see it from all sides meaning you can’t take a side as to who done it! This book is all engrossing, fascinating and creepy. It took me a little over a week to get through this, it literally was a I can’t put this down affair because I just had to know what was happening!

It has been compared to Gone Girl, now I wasn’t a Gone Girl fan but The Girl on the Train I loved. Maybe I should give Gone Gorl another chance?

Have you read The Girl on the Train?
