Eyeliner as black as my soul

“You really can’t put Loreal as a brand down for the quality of their products. The Infalliable gel crayon is no expection.”

When it comes down to eyeliner, I like mine to be super dark and smudged out. I have spent a good chunk of the last 10 years searching out the best black kohl liner that ticks all the boxes. An interesting and intense 10 years, I know.

Name a kohl liner and the chances of me having tried it are pretty high, I love trying out new liners until I find the one that is my holy grail. From Charlotte Tilbury to YSl and a stop off at Soap & Glory, they have all been in my makeup bag at one point or another. A lot of them still sit in my makeup drawers just waiting for the day when I decide to go back to them. One day it will happen.

So what is my latest eyeliner love?

It is the Loreal Infalliable gel crayon. I picked this up on a bit of a whim while browsing the makeup stands of Boots in search of a new liner love. Loreal is a brand that I have a pretty big fan of, 97% of the products I have tried from them have worked wonderfully. You really can’t put Loreal as a brand down for the quality of their products. The Infalliable gel crayon is no expection.

This eyeliner is potentially the longest lasting eyeliner that I have ever used, ever. Normally I need to reapply my liner by lunchtime as it has worn off but with the Infalliable gel crayon I can get away with not reapplying which is a god send when you wear as much eyeliner as I do! It is also a true jet black, there is no subtly or charcoal like elements to this eyeliner. It is all black goodness. Jet black, glossy and smudges oh so easily with a dense brush. What more could you want from your eye liner?

What else can I say about this fantastically wonderful make up product?

She doesn’t bleed or do that infurtiating transfer thing onto your eye lids, if an eye liner does this I am afraid I have to relogate it to the bin. Harsh but true. The point sharpens to a decent shape without being too sharp and scratchy and without clogging up your sharpener. Winning.

The Loreal Infalliable gel crayon, set with some black eye shadow (I am a fan of the Rimmel one as it is affordable and assessible) and a few layers of the Marc Jacobs Velvet noir major volume mascara. A slick of nude lipstick and I am done and dusted.
