How to: Protein Flapjacks

Recently with my foray into the gym and eating more healthy I had been turning to protein flapjack bars to give me extra energy after work before going to personal training or to the gym by myself but if I am being honest, it was getting expensive and although it says that they are healthy do you really know what these bars really include?

One afternoon I had a light bulb moment: make my own! Bloody genius, I know!

These protein flapjacks are super easy to make and taste really good plus they only take a few ingredients. Winning. It is hard to try and make them look attractive in a photo because well they are oats smooshed together but you get the idea.




100 grams oats

1 tbsp Agave Nectar/Honey

50 ml Skimmed Milk

50 grams Dried fruit – if you fancy a fruit flapjack treat

25g Protein Powder

A drizzle of Virgin oil


Pop all your dry ingredients into a bowl and mix together. Once you have done that, pop in your Agave Nectar or honey along with a drizzle of Virgin Oil in order to stop the oats from sticking together in the wrong way. Give it a mix and then pour in your milk little by little stirring as you go.

Next, you will want to grease a baking tray and pop the mixture onto it. Then into the fridge it goes for 10 minutes until it has set. After it has set, it is time to put the tray flap jacks included into the oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes until they are golden brown and smelling delicious.

Simple little protein packed snack.
