The Skincare Edit

I’ve said it before and I will no doubt say it again – skincare has become a huge part of my beauty interest.  It started with makeup products but as I’ve got into my late 20s *gulps* I have realised that great skincare makes for great skin which in-turn makes for a great make up application. There are so many amazing products on the market that deliver wonderful results for your skin and trying out new products is part of the fun, is it not?

Pixi Glow Tonic has become a bit of a cult product amongst beauty enthusiasts. The AHA based toner is gentle enough to use everyday without having harsh side effects on your skin. This product works to remove all dead skin to reveal brighter, healthier looking skin.

This product is potentially a bit of an unecessary product because to be honest, you don’t actually need it but clearly I enjoy wasting my hard earned cash! The Garnier Moisture Bomb Face Mist Protect & Hyrdrate is a nice product when you want to give your face a little freshen up – with or without makeup – it is also great to dampen your Beauty Blender with although good old tap water would work just fine and dandy. This leaves your skin feeling fresh, revitilised and gives your make a little perk up if it is looking a little flat come mid afternoon.

I have become a bit of a lip balm fiend in recent months, probably due to the fact that I actually can’t fit anymore lipsticks into my lipstick drawer but we will just brush over that quickly. I love so many of The Body Shop products and picked up the The Body Shop Coconut Lip Butter  on a bit of a whim but bloody hell this stuff is good! Not only does it smell incredible, it gives your lips a nice neutral glossy tint while adding a heck tonne of moisture. Perfect for the winter months.

A sheet mask. You can’t beat a sheet mask. I love the Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask in either the Pomegranate or Chamomile version. They look terrifying when you have them on your face but when you peel that serum-y layer of paper away you are left with baby soft skin. They are really great sheet masks that are easy to come by and they are pretty inexpensive – they are also frequently on special offer in Boots for £1.99. Winning.
