The ‘Work’ Bag purchase
At the beginning of June I started a new job. After three years in my previous role, the time had come to move on to pastures new, this obviously meant that I need to get myself a new bag to shove in all of the nonsense I carry about on a day-to-day basis. There is also the addition of trips to London which of course require a roomy bag for notepads, iPads and whatever else I need to lug with me to LDN.
The great thing about my job starting on the 5th of June is that I managed to start just intime for the summer sales. What a thrill. Plus I can’t resist a bargain.

In my head I was very clear what I was after. It had to be big, think super roomy and it had to be black because well it goes with everything, doesn’t it. Once I had finished ‘window’ shopping online I decided to take myself to the Edinburgh, House of Fraser at the foot of Lothian Road before it meets Princes Street. They have a good mix of concessions from Mango to Warehouse (two brands I had been looking at online already) so it made sense to take myself along there on a Friday afternoon.
Let me tell you, House of Fraser did not disappiont.
I looked at a couple of bags that I had been looking at online but eventually setteled for the Warehouse Stitch Detail Shopper in black. Be warned this bag is huge. Totally huge. It fits a multitued of nonsense in it – which is great news for me – and doesn’t get too weighty if you cram in all you need/don’t need but carry about with you nevertheless. The best thing about this back is that it was reduced to £15 from £35, winner winner chicken dinner.
