This past weekend I packed up my carry on case and boarded a flight to Dublin, Ireland. One night after a few too many glasses of prosecco back in January we had booked the flights and tickets to see Tyler Hilton. As you do. After a few months we decided to turn it into a thing we very creatively named #eurotrip. Basically we are going to go on city breaks 2 times a year and our location will be picked from each of us putting in 3x places we want to visit and someone drawing out the location. This wasn’t how Dublin was picked but it formed the basis for #eurotrip.
We arrived in Dublin on Friday morning and spent a good few hours wandering around O’Connell Street, Grafton Street and by Temple Bar. By just wandering round we saw so much of the city – we were wandering around for about 3-4 hours probably. Eventually we decided we needed to stop for a refreshing pint of Irish cider – any excuse really. Our first pint in Dublin was in the Ha’penny Bridge Inn before moving onto The Auld Dubliner. Here we found more pints, a lot more pints, along with amazing live music which we really got into.
After about 5 hours and many pints later, we decided we needed to get ourselves back to our hotel, The Beresford, to get ready for the concert. Tyler Hilton and Kate Voegele were amazing. The whole show was acoustic and made up of Tyler and Kate taking turns to sing. It was incredible. If they are every in a City near you or you fancy making a long weekend out of going to see them somewhere else I would highly recommend it.
